Wanting to escape reality
When storms abrupt our lives or we feel like we loose our senses of having control over the circumstances we're in we need to get in touch with reality again. We need to ground ourselves and understand that confusing moments it's all apart of life. If you feel like you have a difficult time now to get things done, feel excited about things to come and don't recognize yourself fully. You need to understand that you are in transformation-mode and the best way according to me to get grounded again with reality is to write gratitude lists.
I want to challenge you in this moment, to get a pen and paper and sit down with yourself and really ask yourself; what are the 10 things I am most grateful for in this moment?
It can be really hard, like you can't even figure out one when you start to think about it. But you can break the problem into small steps. You can be grateful for:
- Breathing fresh air into your lungs
- That you have a healthy body that takes you from point A to B, really be grateful for your feets that keeps you moving forward in life.
- The love you keep hidden in your heart, no matter your challenges you still keep a heart that can carry others buckets of flame, and that itself is what love is all about but not the whole truth. But you can be grateful for realizing this, that the need of having and acting in more selflove has come up to the surface and that you now are aware of it.
- Your awareness in the now, be grateful for being aware of that you have lost sight of gratefulness. Its a turningpoint.
- Your ability to invite happiness, your sense of humor can get you far in life, dark moments always exist but its our ability to cope with them that affects the outcome. With a little humor we can get a long way.
- That you want answers, are curious, want to analyze. Your mind wants to learn, and that is what life is all about.
Be grateful that you can have and do your favorite things every day, that you live a life you decide how its going to work out by taking responsibility to change and switch situations you don't like the energy in. If a person treats me bad today, I don't have to engage furthur in that person. Just a switch in the mentality, nothing else. Decide today whats good for you and be grateful for the many things that actually ARE working in your favor.
Perhaps you got to work on time, got a message of something important, reminded yourself of important tasks and so on. We should treasure when the most simple tasks our working in our favor because if we are grateful for those we are in the moment, and that awareness is your guide towards going furthur in the right direction.
